1.Say an English chant: ‘Look at the tree.’

2.Ask and answer.

Show the word cards and ask: ‘What’s this?’

Let the students show their families’ photos, then

introduce the people of their families.

Show my own photo, and then tell the students: ‘This

is my father, he’s a doctor. This is my mother; she’

s a teacher, too.’

1.Play the tape and let the students listen.

2.Play the tape again.

3.Point to the male doctor, then say: ‘He’s a

doctor.’ Point to the female doctor then say: ‘She’

s a doctor.’ Point to a girl and say: ‘She’s a

pupil.’ Point to a boy and say: ‘He’s a pupil.’

4.Show the card ‘doctor’

5.Play the tape twice.

6.Give the students five minutes to practice the

dialogue.
