Step1 Preparation:

1. Sing a song: At the zoo.

2. Ss answer the phrases as quickly as they can.. Teacher show pictures Ss answer.

3. Free talk: T: What did you do last weekend?

Step2 Pre-reading:

1. T: Good. Now look here, Today is Mar.24th. (呈日历)

What day is it today?

Ss: It is Wed.

T: What day was it yesterday?

Ss: It was Tue. (板书并让生说is和was 的不同)

T:It was Mon. . It was last Saturday. It was last Sunday. It was last weekend.

Ss: Yes.

2. T: I know you did many things last weekend. Do you want to know what did I do last weekend?

Ss: Yes.

T: Now look here. (T show PPT)

Look, I cooked meals, cleaned the room and washed the clothes. I was busy last weekend. (T shows this sentence.)

Ss read it, S1 say the meaning.

3. T: Wu Yifan was busy too last weekend. Guess: What did he do? (Ss guess)

T: Maybe. Now, let’s open your books to find the answers.

1. T: Read the passage silently and quickly, then tick or cross.
