About the book

1、教材的地位与作用

The status of the book 大家好,今天我说课的内容是湘少版小学英语五年级上册第四单元《Can I have a puppy?》,本单元共四个课时,本课为第一课时,通过本课时的教学,我将借助多种教学资源,采取不同的教学策略,让学生听懂会读新的单词pet, puppy, kitten, rabbit, basket, cage而且能熟练掌握句型“Can l have„?”并且能够运用此句型进行交流。

This unit consists of 4 classes’ time, and this class is the first class for this unit. For this class, I will teach the students new words: pet, puppy, kitten, rabbit, basket, and cage. Moreover, I will get students to be familiar and master the sentence clause: Can I have„。

2、根据课程标准的具体要求,结合本节课的特点,本着面向全体学生,使学生自主全面主动地发展原则,我确定本节课的教学目标如下

教学目标:

知识目标:Knowledge target

1、能听懂、会说新单词pet, puppy, rabbit, kitten, cage, basket. Can understand and say new words pet, puppy, rabbit, kitten, cage, and basket.

2、掌握重点句型“Can l have„?”及它的否定回答“No,you can’t. But you can„?”

Grasp the key sentence "Can I have..."Negative and its answer “No,you can’t. But you can„?”

能力目标: Ability Target

1、能灵活运用 can/can’t 表达"请求(做某事)"及"能/不能(做某事)"。

Master flexibly can/can’t to express to pleased do something or can’t do something

2、在各项任务中,培养学生听、说、读、做、唱的能力以及团结合作能力。

Train students to listen, read, say and sing and teamwork through the teaching class.

3、在创设的真实情境中,培养学生的英语口头表达能力和实际运用能力。

Train students for the oral English speaking and English applications through assigned daily life conditions.

情感态度目标:Attitude target 通过本堂课的学习,培养学生珍惜时光,关爱生命的情感与态度。

Train students the attitude for cherishing time, loving lives through the class teaching.

教学重点:

掌握单词,并能运用于句型。 Importance: Master new word, sentence clause and sentence application

教学难点:

理解和区分can 和can’t的读音和用法。 Difficulties: understand and distinguish the pronunciation and used for Can / Can’t

教材处理:

how to Handle the book 根据以上对教材的分析,同时针对中国学生学习外语存在一定困难的实际情况,首先给学生创设学习英语的氛围,使学生感到身临其境;其次激发学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生在一系列的活动中,掌握知识;最后通过做游戏对学生所学的知识进行训练,从而达到巩固知识的目的。 Based on the analysis of book and pupils’ different learning background, I will create the daily life conditions, let students feel at really daily life, activate students’ interest for learning English; through a series of teaching methods, let the students to master the knowledge, then review and master it firmly.

二、说学生

About students

1、学生是五年级的学生,通过两年的英语学习,已经掌握了一部分单词及简单的英语句子和日常用语。

The students are fifth class pupils, they have got more familiar of English and after 2 years English study, and they have already mastered some simple sentence and expressions.

2、大部分学生对英语的兴趣浓厚。

Most of the students are very interested in English

3、学生的思维活跃,乐于表达自己,模仿能力极强。

Students are active, willing to express themselves and with high imitating ability.

4、学生对新事物很好奇。他们喜欢教师以多种教学策略和教学资源来教学。还喜欢教师以多种评价方式来表扬他们。The students are curious for new things. They like varies of teaching method and teaching resource. And they like the praised through learning methods.

教学方法:

About teaching method

1、以歌曲导入新课,有利于形成轻松活泼的课堂气氛,还能吸引学生听课,取得良好的教学效果。

Introduce the new class begin with song. This will activate and attract students so that to get good effort for the class

2、借助实物、教学课件等辅助课堂教学,使本课的知识直观形象地呈现在学生面前,从而调动学生学习英语的积极性。

Use material objects and courseware, let the book content become real and visible for students, so that activate the students

3、在教学过程中,一环扣一环,运用启发示教学法,任务型活动教学法,兴趣教学法,以开展小组比赛的形式,完成教学目标。

Step by step using inspiring method, mission method, interest method and teamwork race to accomplish the teaching target.

4、课上恰当使用激励性评语和小组加分机制,让学生渴望成功的心理得到满足。Using the praising sentence and team work principle let the students willing to achieve success.

5、通过设计“今天我生日”的情景贯穿始末,使学生能运用英语进行交流,达到学以致用的目的。Through the topic: today is my birthday to let students communicate in English.

教学过程:

Step 1 Warm-up 师生互动,进入情境

The interaction between teachers and students, into the situation.

师生同唱歌曲“How old are you?”,沟通师生感情,创造和谐、宽松的教学氛围。既调动了学生学习的积极性,又活跃了课堂气氛,同时为情景“今天我生日”奠定了基础。

Sing the song: how old are you by students and teacher together to activate the class atmosphere to be casual, easy going. And set the condition of “today is my birthday”

Step 2 Presentation and dill 创设情景,贯穿始终

The creation of scenarios, through to the end 呈现教学课件---“今天我生日”这一主场景,进入新课学习。

同时根据这一主场景,我设计了三个次场景: Show the courseware—today is my birthday as the topic for this class set 3 scenes

首先是“礼物单”:通过小寿星希望得到的礼物,直观形象的呈现礼物清单,从而进入新单词的学习。

在词汇教学中,我运用实物、图片、表情、动作模仿等直观法教学单词。我还设计了各种游戏,巩固单词。让学生能在玩中学,在学中玩。The first is “present list”through the present list, let students to learn new words. At the same time, I will use material objects, pictures, emotion expressions, imitations to teach new works. And also I set small games to let students get familiar with new words.

其次是“妈妈陪我买礼物”:通过妈妈一起陪小寿星逛街买礼物这一情景,进入到句型的学习。在这一环节中,我主要采用小组合作的形式学习和巩固新句型,调动学生学习的积极性和主动性,培养他们团结合作的能力。

The second is “buy present together with mother”。

Through this scene, let students to learn new sentence clause. In this step, I will get the students teamwork to get familiar with new sentence clause, activate their learning interest and team work ability.

再次是“生日party”:通过朋友们和小寿星一起过生日,开party的情景,来巩固新单词和新句型,并进入课文的理解及拓展运用。我是通过放烟花,同唱一首歌,射气球和许愿送礼四个节目来实现的。在同唱一首歌节目中,我根据小学生认知的规律及活泼好动的天性,自编了一首儿歌《Ding Ding Dong》来巩固重点句型。紧接着通过射碎的气球出示不同的要求,如:Listen and tick or cross和Read and choose the right answer,目的在于让学生通过习题来学习课文,从而达到初步理解课文的目的。

最后通过许愿送礼这一节目,拓展运用今天所学的重点句型。具体做法是通过课件提供了动物,食物和文具等单词,并提供了一些需要用到的句型,要求学生通过小组合作,自编对话,并表演出来。

The next is“ birthday party”: through the party to review the new words and sentence, and enter the book content. I will get the target by for programmers: firework setting, sing a song, shot the balloon and present sending. The song “Ding Ding Dong” is strengthen by myself according to students’ interest and likes to review the sentence clause. Then through “shooting balloon” to express different requests. For example:“ Listen and tick or cross” and “Read and choose the right answer”。

Through this, the students can understand the book’s content. The last one is the “wish and presents”。

With this step, I will expand the sentence application. The details are: set some words about animals, food, stationery and sentence clause, let students work together, then perform.

Step 3 Affective educations 情感教育,关爱生命。

Emotion Train: Loving of lives. 通过生日这一场景,揭示时间过得很快,希望大家能“珍惜时光,关爱生命”,并为3月1日昆明遇难民众默哀。

Through the birthday scene to express “how fast the time going”,let students to cherish time and lives. At the same time to stand in silent tribute for 1st March Kunming tragic

最后,让我来说说本堂课的板书设计:我采用归纳法,将重点词汇和句型都展示出来,加上简洁明了的简笔画,使学生一目了然。

At last, let me introduce my teaching format design: the important words and sentences are showed in induction method with simple draw.
