教材分析：
Happy Thanksgiving！ 是新标准英语三年级起点第七册Module4 Festivals谈论和描述西方的节日的单元。课文通过Daming 和Simon的对话，介绍美国的Flag Day和Thanksgiving Day两个节日，描述了在这两个节日中人们做什么、吃什么，如何庆祝这些节日，让学生了解西方节日以及他们的饮食习惯，感受东西方文化的不同，激发学生学习的兴趣。在学习谈论有关节日的重点句型同时，学习、区分使用人称代词的主格、宾格形式和物主代词的形容词性和名词性的语法知识。
学情分析：
本班六年级学生在以前的学习中已经学习过谈论春节、圣诞节的话题，并且具备了一些听说读写的能力，在已有的学习经历中，学习成就感和自信心的体验让部份同学逐步形成了稳定的学习兴趣，但两极分化逐步显现。本班学生是本人第一届学生，课间师生的沟通比较多，关系良好，平时上课学生非常活跃。
教学目标：
1.知识目标
（1）掌握本课单词：festival, special, meal, sound；
（2）能理解本课重点句型
Thanksgiving is my favourite festival. We always have a special meal. We say “thank you” for our food, family and friends.
2.能力目标
能够运用本课所学重点句型谈论一些节日的主要活动。
3.情感目标
（1）感受中西方文化上的差异，体会英语的美，激发学习英语的兴趣。
（2）增强学好英语的自信心，培养乐于与他人合作的精神。
教学重点：
1．能理解、会读单词：festival, special, meal, sound。
2. 能理解、认读句子“Thanksgiving is my favourite festival. We always have a special meal. We say “thank you” for our food, family and friends.”
教学难点：
运用本课的句子描述相关的节日的主要活动。（西方节日距离农村学生的生活比较遥远，对这方面的知识知之甚少）
突破方法：
课前搜集有关感恩节的信息，课前分享交流。教学时“整体感知课文-看图回答问题-分角色朗读课文”来学习、巩固重点句型。

Activity 1
