Practice 1

Getting ready

Point to the first three pictures.

T: what’s this?(point to the chair.)[Ss: it’s a chair.]

T: what are these? (point to the glasses.)[Ss: they’re glasses.]

T: where are the glasses? (point to the top picture.)[Ss: they’re under the chair.]

Do the same for other two pictures.

Using the book

T: let’s listen to the tape.

Play the tape for number 1, then pause.

T: which picture and sentence is it ?

Give Ss time to circle the corresponding sentence.

Continue with remaining three numbers.

Practice 2

Getting ready

Have Ss take out notebooks, pencils and erasers. Draw a question mark on the board.

T: put your notebook, pencils, erasers and books around your desk.

Demonstrate by arranging items behind, in front of and next to your desk.
