Step 1 Warming up

1. Greetings

2. Let's chant

Look at that elephant.

Big,big.It's big.

Look at this monkey.

Naughty, naughty. It's naughty.

...

3. Do some actions:

T: Let's do some actions.

If I say" clap your hands", you will do it.

If I say" stamp your feet", you will do it.

If i speak slowly, you will do it slowly. If speak quickly, you will do it quickly.

Step 2 Presentation

1.①T draw a bird on the Bb,and ask: What' this?

S1: It's a bird.

②T draw another bird next to the bird,and let the Ss to understand: birds

③Ss read "bird-birds" after the T.

④Teach "seagull-seagulls","ladybird-ladybirds","egg-eggs" in the same way.

2.① T point the birds, and ask:

Do you what are those?

S1: Those are birds.

T write the sentences on the Bb,let the Ss read it.

②T point to the seagulls, and ask:

What are those?

S2: Those are seagulls.

③T show the pictures to the Ss,and ask: what are those?

Ss: Those are birds/ seagulls/ ladybirds.

3.Play a game: A little teacher

Step 3 Practice

1. Ask the Ss listen to the tape, then answer the question:

What are the animals that you hear in the dialogue?

S1: Ladybirds, seagulls.

2. Ask Ss open their books at page13, then let them read the dialgoue after the tape.

3. Read by themselves.

4.Read in chorus.

Step 4 Consolidation

Play a guessing game:

Ask some Ss act as animals, and let them guess:

What are those?

Those are birds/frogs/...

Step 5 Homework

Listen to the dialogue. Try to recite it.
