Step 1.Warm-up/Review

1.Greetings

T: Hello, boys and girls!

S: Hello, teacher!

T: How are you today?

S: I’m fine. How are you?

T: I’m fine. Thanks. Nice to see you.

S: Nice to see you , too!

2.Review

1)Sing a song“THE WHEELS ON THE BUS”

Step 2.Presentation

•Teach new words.

Introduce street and traffic lights use a picture, say them a few times with the

students.Point to a traffic light. Ask What colour is it? and What it means?

(red, stop; yellow, wait; green, go)Then say the sentences: Red is stop;

Yellow is wait; Green is go. Say them ,please.

•Play the audiotape for N1 as the students follow in their books.

•Act out the sentences.(Show the pictures.)

Give commands such as walk, don’t walk, stop, go, go straight, turn right, turn left.

•Teach adding numbers.

Write each equation on the blackboard, in numbers, and say them with the students

a few times in English.
