Step 2 Presentation and practice

1.Teach: sweater,skirt (3分)

(让学生看一幅图片(书上41页),然后一起讨论图片。)

T: Who’s he?

Ss: 圣诞老人。

T: Yes, you are right. He’s Christmas Father.

T: Can you guess what they are talking about?

Ss: ……

2.Teach:sweater (4分)

T: Sweater. Read after me.

Ss: Sweater.

(Read the word after the teacher three times. Ask students to look at the teacher’s mouth and try to imitate.)

Teacher writes the word “sweet” beside “sweater” to help students differentiate them by reading them slowly.

For example, read them in this way:

Sweet = swee + t

3.Practise: sweater (4分)

T: Look at my red sweater.

Ss: It’s very nice.

设计意图:通过开火车来检查单词的发音。让全体学生一起回答,主要是为了让每个学生都参与进来,尽量做到整体操练,同时维持学生的注意力。

4. Teach: skirt (3分)

T: Skirt. Read after me.

(用手指指着洋娃娃的红裙)

Ss: Skirt.

Teacher writes the word “bird” beside “skirt”and asks students to find the pronunciation of “ir”。

5. Practise: skirt (4分)

Play a game.

Pass the doll. The student who gets the doll points to the skirt on it and says, “Look at this skirt.” The rest students answer him or her together in this way: It’s very nice.

设计意图:由于教授本课的时候,天气比较冷,所以穿裙子的孩子几乎没有。低年级的孩子很喜欢洋娃娃,而且很好动,根据他们的这个年龄特点,设计了传递洋娃娃这个游戏。利用游戏,鼓励孩子们大胆说英语,从而培养他们大胆说英语的自信心。

6. Teach: T-shirt (3分)

Show a picture to the studnets.

T: Is this a skirt?

Ss: No, it isn’t.

T:It’s a T-shirt.

Read after me.T-shirt.

Ss: T-shirt.

7. Practise: sweater, skirt and T-shirt (6分)

(快速反应游戏:在投影仪上,展示不同颜色衣服的图片。要求学生快速回答老师的问题。)

T: So we can say, “ It’s a yellow sweater.”

The following pictures are pracised in the following way like:

游戏过程中,教师特意放上一张外套的图片。

设计意图:利用快速反应这个游戏,引出本课最后一个单词coat的教授,抓住学生的眼球,从而提高课堂效率。

Step3 Consolidation

1.Teach a chant (2分)

Show the chant to the students in this way:

图,图,图,I like my 图。

图,图,图,I like my 图。

T-shirt, T-shirt,a purple T-shirt,I like my purple T-shirt.

Skirt,skirt,a red skirt, I like my red skirt.

(第一句和第二句老师打着节拍领读,学生跟读。接下来两句让学生一起打节拍并朗读。)

2. Practise the chant (3分)

(此时的chant以全部文字的形式出现。)

全体学生一起唱两遍,要求第二遍速度要比前一遍快。

小组比赛。将全班分成三组,看哪组唱得既快又准确。

设计意图:朗朗上口的Chant是学生比较喜欢的形式,还可以激发学生的学习兴趣和学习积极性。边唱边打节拍,动脑又动手,使学生集中注意力,活跃课堂气氛,同时又巩固和操练了单词。

3.Do the exercise (2分)

看图圈出括号内正确的单词。

Look at my 图 _______. (coat,cake)

What’s this? It’s 图 _______. (sweater,sweet)

The 图 _______ is for you. (skate, skirt.)

Is that a 图 _______ ? (T-shirt,skirt) Yes, it is.

Check answers.

设计意图:通过练习来检查学生对于单词的认读情况,为下节课的教授做准备。
