Unit 9 Let’s Go Further “Story Time”
二、 教材分析：
本课是学生熟悉的故事“龟兔赛跑”的延续篇，融合了本单元学习的形容词、副词的比较形式知识，并以故事结局的变化，开拓学生的思维，借此学习做人的道理，寓思想教育意义于故事学习中。
三、 教学对象分析：
采用异地教学方式，学生和老师之间都不熟悉，在教学中要运用学生喜闻乐见的学习方式去充分调动好学生的学习积极性和参与性。
四、 教学目标：
1、语言学习目标：
1） 能听说读单词：hare，race
2） 能比较熟练运用比较级单词：faster，slower
3）学习日常用语：Are you ready? Go!
I can’t stop.
2、语言技能目标：
1） 能听懂老师的指令。
2） 能比较流利地读出课文。
3） 能看懂课文以及理解课文寓意。
4） 能简单表演故事。
5） 能读懂课文改编的对话，并正确填写对话所缺的单词。
3、学习策略目标：
1） 能从合作学习中学会归纳，发现道理。
2） 能在图片和提示词的启发下，用英语表达自己的观点，学会讲故事。

1） 在小组活动中培养积极向上，不断进取的精神。

在学习中，熟练运用比较级知识描述故事内容。

九、 教学过程：
A. Warm up
Play a guessing game: What am I doing?
（师让生用双手跟做run， climb， play computer games等动作，提问生。既让学生动手动脑，活跃一下课堂气氛，为下面的教学作铺垫；也让生熟悉一下新老
师的语音语调。）
B. Go over the story
1. Guessing game: (Simple drawing) hare, turtle
师：What’s this ? Is it a …? (Yes,…/ No,…)
（师画简笔画，以递增笔画的形式，让学生猜，引出故事的两位主角，吸引学生注意力的同时，增加悬念。）
2. Learn the word: race
（通过龟兔引出race/ have a raec两词进行教学。）
3. Retell the story (Round 1)
师： There is an interesting story between Mr Turtle and Mr Hare. They have a race. Do you remember this story?
（利用powerpoint逐一出现四幅龟兔赛跑的图画，请生自由说出每副图的意思，完整呈现第一个故事的梗概。鼓励生开口讲，提高生的语言运用能力。）
4. Learn the words: faster, slower
5. Learn the reason: We can’t be proud.
师：What can we learn in this story?
（每教完一个故事，便教导学生从中学到一个道理。中西方知识融会贯通。“骄傲使人失败”－ We can’t be proud.）
C. Learn the new story of the text (Round 2)
1. Some questions about the second race.
师：There’s a second race between Mr Turtle and Mr Hare again. I have some questions about the second race. Let"s have a look.
（学生带问题去看金太阳课件，目的明确。）
2. Watch and listen.
3. Answer the questions.
4. Read together.
5. Read with the partner.
6. Act out the shorter story.
师：I think the text is so long. I have a shorter story about the second race. Let’s read and act out it.
（师把课文改编成只有6个句子的小短文，降低了act out的难度，让生顺利表演，体验成功之感。）
7. Learn the reason: Never give up.
D. Make a new story (Round 3)
1. Show the pictures about Round 3.
师：There’s a third race between Mr Turtle and Mr Hare. And it’s a special race. It’s the cross-country race（越野障碍赛）. What will happen this time? Who’s the winner?
2. Discuss: Who’s the winner this time?
（师设置有挑战性的第三次龟兔赛跑，激发学生的思维，更发展学生的口头表达能力。）
师：…So, we have two endings now. One is Mr… is the winner, two is Mr Turtle and Mr Hare both are the winners. Which one do you like best?
3. Finish the exercise paper.
（生都选取龟兔双赢的结局。完成第三次赛跑的练习。）
4. Learn the reason: Help each other, both the winners.
（教导学生与时俱进的新型思想，竞争的双方只要互相帮助，就能到达双赢的局面。）
