Just read and speak

情景会话:

Lisa的叔叔、婶婶正在准备她的生日聚会,他们一起来到商店为Lisa买生日蛋糕和其他的礼物。他们帮Lisa挑选了蛋糕,还买了些其他的东西。

行动目标:

学习如何用英语挑选商品。

重点聚焦:

What kind of cake would you like?

I'd like a chocolate cake.

What shape would you like?

I'd like that round cake.

Can we get some round balloons and long balloons?

滚动项目:

Lisa's uncle and aunt go shopping with Lisa.

They want to buy a birthday cake and some other things for her birthday party.

It looks lovely.

Let's get some ice cream.

I'll get some jelly for you.

I'll have a great birthday party.

读图向导:

注意观察图中蛋糕的形状。

二、课前准备

1.准备本课的录音磁带,教学挂图和幻灯片。

2.准备巧克力和果冻的实物或图片。

3.自制不同种类和形状的蛋糕图片。

4.准备用纸剪出的三角形,正方形,圆形,长方形,五角星等。

三、教学步骤与建议

1.热身 / 复习 (Warming-up / Revision)

使用图片复习cake, chocolate, ice cream, balloon等单词,可以用看图片抢答的形式。

2.新课导入( Presentation)

1)教师依次拿出用纸剪的各种形状,问学生:What's this? Can you say it in Chinese? 学生回答后,教师接着问:Can you say it in English?

2)把各种形状贴在黑板上,在每个形状下面写下对应的英语单词,领学生认读。

3)教师展示本课教学挂图,一边展示一边说:Lisa is going to have a birthday party.Her aunt and uncle are going shopping with her.They want to buy a birthday cake for Lisa.Do you know what kind of cake Lisa likes?

4)播放录音,让学生听,然后回答问题。有学生回答正确时,教师给予奖励:Yes, clever boy / girl! Lisa chooses a round cake.

5)They also get some other things.What are they? Can you tell me? 有学生说出balloon和chocolate时,教师再次奖励。

6)教师可以用汉语问学生Lisa 是否还买了别的东西。可以让学生再听一边录音,特别是I'll get some jelly for you.这一句。教师问:They also get some jelly.What is jelly? Do you know? 接着展示jelly的教学卡片,让学生理解这个词的意思。

7)再次播放录音让学生边听边模仿跟读。

8)让学生分为3人一组,分角色练习会话,并到前面展示。

3.趣味练习 (Practice)

1)学生以组为单位开展对话表演比赛,比一比,哪一组的语音语调正确,表演得生动真实。

2)播放幻灯片,让学生为图片配音。

3)让学生拿出自制的蛋糕图片,标上价格标签,模拟蛋糕店的场景,进行购物活动。

4. 拓展活动( Additional activities)

1)把数学课上学过的各种形状统计一下,然后把它们全部用英语表达出来,可以通过各种途径获取帮助。

2)Do a survey:组织学生以小组为单位开展What kind of cake would you like? What shape would you like? 的调查,填写调查表:
