注意观察邀请卡的格式,学会用英语写邀请卡。

课前准备:

1.准备本课的教学挂图,录音磁带和投影片。

2.准备一本日历和自制的生日邀请卡。

3.准备歌曲Happy birthday to you! 的磁带。

4.准备电脑课件。(或用自制的挂图代替)

教学步骤与建议:

1.热身 / 复习 (Warming-up / Revision)

1)播放歌曲Happy birthday to you! 师生一起唱。

2)教师问:When is your birthday?学生可以用汉语回答。如果有学生能用英语正确说出,教师发给贴纸奖励。

2.新课导入 (Presentation)

1)教师一边展示教学挂图,一边问学生:

Who are the girls? Who are the boys? What are they doing? ... Yes, this is Yang Ming, and this is Lisa.That is Kate and that is Peter.Look!Lisa is giving a card to Peter.What is on the card? Do you know? What are they going to do? Do you want to know? Now boys and girls.Let's listen to the tape and find the answer.

2)教师播放录音,让学生听后回答问题:What is on the card? What are they going to do?

3)学生回答问题,师生对学生的回答共同给以评价。注意以鼓励为主。

4)教师小结:October 20th is Lisa's birthday.She wants to have a party.She wants to invite her good friends, Kate, Peter and Yang Ming to her birthday party.She is giving them cards.She wants to tell them the time and place of the party.

5)再次播放录音让学生跟读模仿。可以多练习几遍。

6)让学生分四人一组,分角色练习会话,然后到前面表演。

7)教师出示自己过生日的“邀请卡”,诚恳地邀请班里的学生:My birthday is on October 10th.I'll have a birthday party.Will you come to my party? 引导学生回答出Sure! I'd love to.等。

3.趣味操练 (Practice)

1)教师问:Whose birthday is it today? 如果碰巧有学生的生日在这一天,师生一起为他/她(们)唱生日歌,然后让过生日的学生邀请大家去他/她(们)的生日聚会。学生利用教师准备好的“邀请卡”,表演对话。

2)游戏“我先完成”:培养学生学习用英语进行思维与完成任务的能力。方法:设计一张自己过生日的“邀请卡”,要求学生在规定的时间内完成,谁完成得快谁就是胜者。各组推选出一名优胜者,运用本课学习的语言知识, 邀请本组学生参加自己的生日聚会。然后限定时间,开展小组间送“邀请卡”的比赛。比一比,哪一组在规定的时间内送的人数最多,教师给以奖励。

4. 拓展活动 (Additional activities)

1)由学生记录家庭成员生日的日期,并填写下列表格,用英语说一说。
