教材分析：本单元是继上学期第三单元School Sports Day之后，又一个涉及体育比赛的内容。教师可以先从School Sports Day的故事情节进行引入。如：先把学生带进比赛场的情景，询问学生如何为运动员加油，激发学生对所学内容的兴趣。之后教师根据故事内容设计一个足球比赛的海报，帮助学生理解故事。故事中主要辞汇成现在Words to learn部分，教师可以指导学生解决词汇的问题，但是重点应放在对故事情节的把握上。本单元的故事对话主要是一般现在时或现在进行时，个别对话是过去时；而课文的语片则采用了过去式的表达法，教师可以组织复习规则动词和不规则动词的变化，逐步培养学生描述个人经历或描述过去发生的事情的方法。

学情分析：高年级的学生仍处在激趣教学阶段，因此不能凭空的干讲、死讲，要采用适当的活动或游戏来激发学生的学习兴趣。根据孩子们的性格特点，利用图片以及声音、游戏的情节设计来调动学生的兴趣，引导学生主动去感悟单词以及句型的意思。让他们的思维在整堂课中都能动起来，从而达到积累语言运用语言的目的。

学习目标：

1． 能够通过阅读理解本单元的故事。 2． 初步了解一般将来时的肯定形式及否定形式的运用。 3． 能够正确地听、说、认读单词goal, sports star, team, goalkeeper, corner kick. 4． 能够初步了解Who’s……? Where’s ……? When’s ….?等特殊疑问句的用法。掌握Who’s=Who is; When’s=When is的缩略形式和完全形式。 5． 培养学生对体育运动的兴趣与爱好。 6. 跨文化知识，文明观看体育比赛，为运动员加油的友好态度
