Draw an outline of a balloon on the board.

Ask a volunteer to come up to the board.

Show the student the colored chalk (or markers)

T: Green balloon.

Help the students get a piece of green chalk to color in the balloon.

Do this with two more items and colors.

Have Ss work in small groups or pairs.

T: Color the balloon. Color the rabbit. Use any color you want.

After Ss are finished coloring the pictured items, teach Ss how to play slap!

Call out an item and a color.

T: Purple umbrella.

Hopefully, at least one student has colored his/her umbrella purple.

Ss who have purple umbrellas on their pages should slap the picture and say Purple umbrella.

Continue until all items have been called out with a couple of different colors each. Sounds and words

T: Let’s practice the sound. Look at my mouth and repeat. Put your tongue out like this. Show the pictures of Tony’s mother and father.

Point to mother and say “mother”。 Have Ss repeat.

Do the same with father.

T: Look at this picture.(Point to the picture of mother)。

T: What’s this word?(mother)

Do the same with the picture of father.

T: Let’s listen again, and this time, repeat.

Have Ss if they have difficulty making the sound. Chant

Have Ss look at the lyrics.

Point to the balloons.

T: What’s this? What color is it?

T: Let’s listen to the chant.

Play the tape once.

T: Now, listen and point to the balloons.

Play the tape again and have Ss point to the red and blue balloons when appropriate. OK. Let’s chant together.

Play the tape and have Ss chant along. 4. Summary up

Call out several children to talk about this lesson.

Read the new words again.
