Sing a song. “ My Pets”.

Step 2 Preview:

Listen to the tape. Fill in the blankets and choose the right pictures.

Step 3 Presentation:

Let’s talk.

1.  Teacher tells the students: “ I’m a little heavier than before. How heavy am I? Guess.” The students can use the patterns: “Are you 40/ 45 kg?”

Make a dialogue with the student who gets the right answer.

T: How heavy are you?

S: I’m 30 kg.

T: You’re thinner than me, and shorter.

Write down the dialogue and read.

This time let the students ask:

S: How heavy are you?

T: I’m 45 kg.

S: I’m thinner than you, and shorter.

You’re heavier than me, and taller.

2.  Point to the shoes, saying: “I wear size 23. How big are your feet?” Help the students to answer: “ I wear size 17.” Write down the sentences.

3.  Play the tape and read in groups.

4.  Make new dialogues.
