1.通过看图和阅读文字的活动,理解文章的内容。这是一个小故事,它告诉我们每天收听或收看天气预报对人们出行的重要性。

2.听录音,模仿录音准确地朗读文章。

3.在理解文章的内容之后,能正确地完成书中的练习题。

五、教学步骤

Step 1 导入:

1.T: Today, we will read a new story. Let’s look at the title first. “Next time, watch the weather report.” What’s the meaning of this sentence?

2.T: Why will this person watch the weather report next time? Let’s read the story to find the answer.

Step 2 presentation

1.阅读文章,找出新词,在下面画线。

2.学习新词:

(1)学生把自己不认识的词写在黑板上。

(2)师生一起解决新词:

(3)跟老师读单词。

3.看图并阅读文章,理解文章内容:

(1)同桌一起阅读文章,试着理解每句话的内容。

(2)问题:考查学生对故事的理解。 What did Ed want to do that morning? What did he see? Where did he go? Who was with him? Soon what happened? What did Ed do? What happened next? What did Ed do? What did the police say? What did Ed say?

(3)一句接一句地播放录音,找同学来进行翻译。

4.再听录音,一句接一句地跟读。(2遍)

5.同桌一起试着朗读文章。

6.完成书中的练习题: Circle T for True or F for False.

(1) 读句子,自己试着进行判断。

(2) 订正答案:找同学读出每一句话并且进行翻译。 Discuss and report: What will you do if you are caught in a storm? What will you do if you are caught in a storm?

7.小结:What did you learn from the story?
