Teaching steps:

Step 1: Warm up.

Sing a song: Happy New Year.

Step 2: Lead in.

T: Just now, we sang “Happy New Year”.Today we are going to learn about New Year, it’s Chinese New Year——Spring Festival. Lesson 17.

Step3: New lesson.

1.整体呈现课文

(1)教授Spring Festival (分男女生.小组开火车操练)

(2)T: How do you spend Spring Festival? 提问个别学生,然后教师顺势导入听课文录音一遍,让学生对新课有一个整体感知。

2.按时间顺序教授本课单词、词组和句型

(1)At 5:00, we make dumplings.

教师点击课件问学生:What’s the time ? 生回答:It’s 5:00. T: Yes, it’s 5:00 in the afternoon. We make dumplings.用实物操练dumpling, dumplings,全班跟教师学包饺子并朗读dumplings, dumplings, we make dumplings.

(2)At 7:00, we have a big dinner.

教师点击课件说:At 7:00, we have a big dinner.教授big, 分男女生、小组开火车操练big, 用“一晃而过”操练句型We have a big dinner.

(3)After dinner, we watch New Year programs on CCTV.

教师点击课件问学生:What’s the time ? 生回答:It’s 8:00.T: What doyou do? Ss: We watch TV. 教师播放一段视频,说After dinner, we watch New Year programs on CCTV.用“跟节奏读”形式操练watch, 用“扬声器”操练programs,用“拍掌齐读,不拍则停”形式操练programs,programs,New Year programs.

(4)At 12:00, we say Happy New Year.

教师点击课件,播放新年钟声,说At 12:00, the Chinese New Year is coming. We say Happy New Year. Do you say Happy New Year ?用手势及动作操练Happy New Year,Happy New Year,We say Happy New Year. 师生、生生之间互相做拜年动作。做得好的发红包,Here’s your pocket money.

(5)At 8:00, we get pocket money.

由奖励机制“发红包”引到At 8:00 the next day, we get pocket money.

用“拍手跳”操练get, 用“礼炮绽放”操练pocket money.小组间two by two 操练We get pocket money.

(6)At 10:00, we go to the fair.

用升降调操练fair, 用“拍掌齐读,不拍则停”形式操练We go to the fair.

3.游戏: Listen and choose.

屏幕上呈现6副图,教师说出句子并问Which picture ?学生快速抢答。

4.朗读课文

(1)Listen to the tape first,then answer the questions: What does Sally ask? Why does Sally ask?

(2)Listen again and repeat.

全班齐读,小组读,个别学生读。

5.巩固拓展

Teacher asks: How do you spend Spring Festival ? The students answer it by themselves.

Step4: Homework.

1.听磁带跟读,家长签字;

2.完成活动手册第17课;

3.用英语向朋友、家长说说你最喜欢的春节活动。

Step5: Sing a song.
