教学目标：
1.要求学生掌握四会单词：行为动词draw，look，now，picture，see 。
2. 理解并能够运用短语：drawing a picture，looking out the window singing a song，reading a book。
3. 句型what are you doing ? I am ___ing. What is he （she） doing? He （She） is ____ing .
教学重点：
本课的四会单词：draw，look，now，picture，see
教学难点：
介绍正在进行的动作的句式。
教具应用谈话法，讨论法，对比法，合作法，探究法。
教学过程：
Step1：Warming up
学生之间相互问候
-Do you like taking a train?
-Yes ,I do.
-What do you often do on the train?
-I read books and sometimes I have a rest.
- Do you like playing with others on the train?
之后让学生介绍自己火车上的动作。
Step 2：Leading in
教师出示课前准备的图片，让学生用英语说出这些表示动作的动词，并把它们改为现在分词形式。
Step3:Presentation
1、猜词游戏。教师模仿读书、唱歌、绘画的动作，让学生说出英语单词，然后说出它们的现在分词形式。之后学生把这些现在分词写在自己的练习本上，教师可随时检查，发现问题及时纠正。
2、Pair work :把学生分成若干小组，每组同学分为两部分，进行对话练习，必须使用现在进行时的句式“am,is,are+现在分词”。让学生在练习中掌握这个结构。通过下面的问题互相提问和回答
What are you doing?
I am …
Are you reading?
Yes ,I am ./No,I’m not.
What is that boy doing?
He is…
在学生进行练习时，教师及时纠正出现的错误。
Step3:New Concepts
1．课文阅读
（1）（听第一部分录音）回答问题：On the train. What do they see on the train? What is Jenny /Danny/ LiMing doing?
（2）跟读课文加深理解。学生提出不懂的地方，全班学生一起讨论解决。
（3）分角色大声朗读。
2. 表演课文对话，可以让学生对照课本进行表演。给学生一些时间进行表演前的准备。
3、使用有关表示动作的卡片做“Guess the action的游戏。可以设计：reading,singing,dancing,playing,swimming skating等动作。
Step4:Summing up
教师指导学生进行课堂小结。重点句型，现在进行时构成和用法。
布置作业
1、 用英语讲述身边的人正在进行的动作，并使用课本句式进行练习。
2、 完成Let’t do it！中课本练习。
