Step 1: Warm-up

T: “Good morning, boys and girls.”

Ss: “Good morning, teacher.”

T: “What day is it today?”

Ss: “It’s Wednesday.”

T: “Good! Now let’s sing a song and do together. The whole class, stand up, please.” Ss stand up together. T plays the video of the song “Hands up, up, up”。 Then T sings and does together with Ss.

Step 2: Leading in

T shows a picture of study and asks Ss: “Now, boys and girls, what can you see?” Ss: “A desk!” “A girl!” “Books!” “TV” “A computer!”

T: “Hands up! Shirley.” S: “A desk.” T: “Yes or no?” S: “Yes!” T: “What else? Winnie!” S: “Books.”

T: “Super! Now, can you tell me, where is the book? Wendy!” S: “It’s on the desk.” T: “True or false?” Ss: “True.” T writes the sentence “Where is …? It’s on …”

T points the closet and asks: “Can you tell me what it is?” Ss try to read it out. T: “Now, follow me—closet.” T takes out the card of the word “closet” and says: “Let’s play ‘high and low voice’—one, two, three!” T lifts the card and Ss read: “Closet!” T lowers the card gradually and Ss read lower and lower.
