Function: To describe a thing by adjectives.
Language : The computer is beautiful. It’s purple.
It’s small. And it’s cheap.
Words :difficult, choose, expensive, perfect, cheap, cost, thousand.
Teaching steps :
1. Greetings :Good morning/afternoon boys and girls .
Nice to see you again . How are you?
Then the pupils greet me in the same way.
2. Warmer: 1)Sing a song.
2) Game: Say the opposite words. E.g. T: big, Ss: small…
3. Teaching Presentations: Activity 1. Listen, point, and find “beautiful…” .
1)Open your books to Module2, Unite1, please. Look at page six’s pictures and describe them, please.
2) Ask the children to look at the pages and to guess as much information about what is happening in the story .
3)Point to the people doing different activities and ask What are they doing? Provide the new vocabulary and write it on the board .And teach the new words.
4)Play the cassette. The children listen and follow in their books.
5)Play the cassette again. Pause after each dialogue and perform an action to aid comprehension.
6)Repeat. This time pause for the children to carry out the indicated movements.
7)Divided the class into four groups, with each group taking on a role in the story, mother, father Amy and Sam.
8)Encourage the whole class to say the dialogue, with each group saying its corresponding role.
Activity 2. 1)The children now act out the dialogue in pairs.
2)Call volunteers to the front of the class to act out the dialogue to their classmates.
Activity 3. Ask the students to line out “beautiful” and ask them to read out that whole sentence. And ask the to find out all the adjectives and use them to make a sentence.
4. Homework : 1)Work in Activity Book . Finish the exercise of page 6and 7.
2)Copy the words 6 times for each word and recite them.
