一、Teaching Aims:

1. Enable the Ss to understand and say “How are you ?” “Fine ,thank you , And you ” “I’m fine” “I’m OK”

2. Raise the Ss interest to learn English.

3. Encourage the Ss to have good cooperation with one another.

Step1. Warming –up exercise

1. Greetings the

Ss: Good morning, boys and girls. Glad to see you! Free talk to some Ss

2.Revision:

What’s this/that? Is this/that a„ What colour is it?

3. Now, let’s chant, Ok? Yellow, yellow, yellow duck. Red, red, red fox. Green, green, green frog. Brown, brown, brown bear.

Step2. Presentation

1.Let’s talk.

(1) Show a picture of Mrs. Bird, let’s say hello to her

(2) Let’s listen to the tape ,please listen carefully, then answer my questions: Encourage the students to repeat a few times.

2.Listen and say.

Play the tape for the students to follow.

3. Practice.

Work in pairs. Encourage the students to practice the dialogue in pairs. Demonstrate the dialogue with one or two students, and then ask some pairs to act it out for the rest of the class.

Step4 Sing a song

Step5 Summary

There are three ways to answer “how are you”, and they are “I’m fine”, “I’m OK”, “Fine, thank you”

Step6 Homework

1. Use “how are you” to greet your parents and classmates.

2. Read and practice the dialogue with your partner.
