一、 Greetings.

About the summer holiday/weather.etc.

二、Presentation

1. Tell the students about the Great Wall.

The Great Wall runs across North China like a huge dragon,

It winds its way from west to east, across deserts, over mountains, through vallegs till at last it reaches the sea. It’s the longest wall on the earth, also one of the wonders in the world.

3. Write 1 on the blackboard, let the students read. Then write 0 behind 1(10), let the students read. Then write 0 behind 10(100), let the students read. Then write 0 behind 100(1000), 引出新单词:thousand. Teach the students to read.

4. Write 000 behind 1000 (1,000,000)。

New words:million. Teach the students to read. (拿出卡片2,400),Who can say? One student answers. (拿出卡片12,000,000),Who can say? One student answers.

B. Game : Pat the desk
