教学内容:

Unit 1 Dad played the erhu.

教学目标:

(1)知识目标

学会说、读、写新单词:concert , Chinese ,instrument, CD;懂读 一些乐器的名称:erhu , pipa , guitar ,violin 等等,且要学会重点句型:”What did they play?” 和 “Dad played the erhu. /Mum played the pipa.”

(2)能力目标

1:学会用一般过去式表达过去发生的事。

2:要懂得如何用英语来表达乐器,而且要学会如何运用重点 句型:”What did they /he/she play?” 和 “They /he/she played……” 来进行问答。

(3)情感目标

培养学生对乐器的认识,同时激发他们学习英语的兴趣。

教学重、难点:

1、重点:学会新的单词和重点句型,以及一些乐器的英语表达。

2、难点:如何运用一般过去式表达过去发生的事,如何正确运用重点句型来进 行问答。

教学过程:

(一)Step one :Warming up

1. Greetings: T: “Good morning, boys and girls .How are you today?” Ss: “Good morning, Ms Li .Fine, thank you! And you? “ T:” I’m fine, too. Thank you! Sit down, please!” T:”What’s the weather like today?” Ss: “It’s sunny.”

2. Let’s sing a song together:”Hickory, Dickory, Dock.”

3. Review: Find the right pass tense. (Show the ppt, and I point, you say together) Is—was ,run—ran ,say—said ,eat—ate ,are—were ,shout—shouted ,play—played , Laugh—laughed.

(二)Step two :Preparation

1. Ask and answer (show the pictures) T: “Look! Where did you go yesterday?” Ss:”I went to…。.”(Ask students to answer) T: “Ok, do you know where did I go yesterday?” Ss.…。 T:”Let me tell you, I went to a concert yesterday.”

2. Show a ppt T: “Look! What’s this?” Ss: “It’s a Chinese concert. “(Show the words: concert /Chinese one by one, and then teach them, then practice by together/groups/one by one)

3. Listen and guess (Show the ppt)

(1) T:” listen and guess what it is? “(Ask students to guess, and then show the pictures for them. And practice the words: erhu/violin/pipa/guitar. And teach the sentences:” It’s a Chinese instrument. /It looks like ......”。Then practice by together/groups/one by one)

(2) Show a ppt: for CD T:” Look! What are they?” Ss:” CD.” T: “Yes, great!”

(三) Step three: Drill

1. Show the pictures T: “Look! What did he/she play? “(Ask students to answer and then practice by together/groups/one by one) Ss”。..”

2. Show a ppt: What did they play? T:” Look! What did Dad/Mum play?” (Ask students to answer) Ss”。..”

3. Play a game T:” Now, let’s play a game. I want two students to come here. One student acts cut some actions, and another one asks classmates: “What did he/she play? “Then exchange, understand?” Ss:” Yes!”

(四) Step four : Practice

1. Listen and repeat the text, and then find the answers for the questions. (Firstly, ask students to answer and then show the answers) A: “What did Dad play?” B: “What did Mum play?”

2. Ask students to read the text together, and then in roles.

3. Let’s practice: show the pictures (ask students to practice in pairs, one asks and another one answers)

(五)Step five :Consolidation

1. Summary: read the new words and key sentences twice.

2. Homework: A: read the words and text 3 times. B: talk about the music and some instruments with your parents.
