Step1 Revision

Ss say the chant “Is it an orange?”

Step2 Presentation

1 T shows a picture (a tomato), “It’s round, it’s red. We can eat it. What is this?” Ss guess ( It’s a tomato.)

Another pictures ( 2\ 3 \4 tomatoes) “What are these?”

Help the Ss to answer “They are tomatoes.”

Repeat the procedure for carrots.

T writes the main sentences on the Bb. Ss read.

2 .New words

T: Today, we are going to learn some new words about vegetables. Listen and look carefully, what are these?

Ss follow the T to read. Ss read them in pairs.

Step3 Talk about Story

Have the children open their books at the story.

Have the children look at the pictures.

T asks some questions:

P 2: What is Mocky looking at?

P 3: What is Mocky holding?

P 4 /5/6: What other vegetables does Mocky find?

P 7: What does Mocky do with the vegetables?

P 8: Which vegetables are these?

P 9: What does Mocky want to do? Is Ken pleased with Mocky?

P 10: Who chases Mocky?

Step4 Story

T: We are going to hear what the characters said.

Play the tape, pausing at each new picture. Have the child repeat the words. Play one sentence at a time and point to the matching story picture.

T reads, Ss listen and find the pictures.

Ss do group work. (1 page14, 2 page15)

教学反思:

本单元的故事贯穿于Ann, Ken, and Mocky一起去市场买蔬菜,在故事中呈现了好几种蔬菜,学生接收起来有些困难。因此,在课文教学的设计中通过复习,利用pic1等图片的方式帮助学生解决较难蔬菜类单词的发音。整个故事围绕Mocy看到的蔬菜展开,最后学生体会出Mocky喜欢吃胡萝卜。拿起就跑,淘气得很。
