三、教学准备
端午节情形的照片，毛主席、刘少奇故居图片或照片等。
四、教学步骤
Step1 Warming up
1、师生问候。
2、值日生报告。
3、师生问答，复习知识。
T: How many boys are there in our class?／Whom do you want to play with?／Where is he/she from?
4、自由会话和复述课文。
Step 2 Presentation and drill
1．出示端午节的图片。
Look！ It is photo of Dragon Boat Race. We are on the bridge of the XiangJiang River. This is me. These are my friends, Miss Li and Miss Peng.
There are more than ten beautiful dragon boats in the river. It is the most interesting race. Show me your photos. Tell your friends about the Dragon Boat Festival，please.
2．学生分组先在组内口头练习，再笔头表达。教师检测学生的练习情况，并随时注意信息反馈。
Step 3 Practice
1．出示毛主席故居的图片及例句，帮助学生理解单词birthplace 和句型“be loved by…”。
2．搜集有关湖南名人，如刘少奇、彭德怀等人生平、经历等的资料。
并在小组内进行介绍。然后写下来。
Step 4 Consolidation
1．自由会话。就某些中外名人、名地的有关情况与同学交流。
2．评价。对学生的表现进行评价，给予肯定与鼓励，培养学生听说读写的技能。
3．练习。 （见《练习册》）
4．家庭作业。听磁带，背课文，抄写、默写本单元新单词。
