教材分析:

Lesson 19是本单元的第三课,在前两课的学习中,学生已经掌握了cow,chicken,duck,pig,cat,dog,sheep,goat八种动物名称,本课将学习鸟类bird. 课文包括三部分内容,第一部分认识鸟及其身体器官名称beak,wing,feathers;第二部分学习一对反义词same/different;第三部分是一首关于小鸟的chant。三部分内容围绕bird展开,由词及句层层深入。

学情分析:

本课教学对象是四年级学生,通过一年多的英语学习,他们已经掌握了一定的英语词汇及简单句型,和一些简单的动物名称,能使用英语对熟悉的事物进行描述。英语学习兴趣浓厚,模仿力强,好奇心强,喜欢表现自己。动物是孩子们非常感兴趣的内容,他们愿学、乐学、也易学。

一、Class opening and Review

1.Let the students sing the song :Old MacDonald had a farm

The students sing the song happily.

课前以歌曲热身,让学生在优美的歌声中复习所学动物,活跃课堂气氛,同时也让学生迅速进入英语学习的状态。

2.Talk about the animals

Talk about the animals with the teacher
