Steps:

Pre-task preparation:

l Review: tall, short, thin, fat, big, small.

l Introduce: Who is he/she? ; He’s/She’s (name) ; friend.

l Go around the class asking Who’s he/she? to elicit: He’s/She’s __ .

l Play the cassette. Listen and repeat.

l Practice Who’s he/she?

While-task procedure:

1. Think of a friend in class. Come out in front of the classroom and describe his or her friend. The other student make guesses until the identity of the friend is guessed correctly.

2. Practice in pairs.

3. Write about a friend using the model provided.
