Teaching procedure:

n Review

Place Picture Cards 9-16 on the board.Ask Ss What are they doing?Ss answer.

Take picture cards off the board ,ask one students to come up and pick one of the cards. Tell him\her to act out what is on the card.

T:What’s he\she doing? [Ss(S1’s name)is thinking.]

n Presentation 1 SB p. 32

Bring in picture Cards 33--40 on the board, picture-side up.

Show the picture side of the Picture Card laugh.

T: how do you spell laugh [Ss:laugh.] (point to each letter for Ss to say.) [Ss: L-A-U-G-H]

Continue with the rest of the cards.

T: Open your book. Listen to the tape and point to each word.

Have Ss listen and point to each word.

Play the tape again, and have Ss repeat each word.

Hold up Picture Cards in random order ( picture-side up) and have Ss say the words and spell them. allow Ss to write the words on paper before saying the letters.
