教学目标：
1、能听懂、会说新单词Christmas tree ,decorations ,stocking ,Christmas card ,present, Santa Claus;
2、能听懂、理解、会说本课故事；
3、能了解并介绍西方传统节日——圣诞节的相关知识；
4、渗透中西方节日文化的教充，培养学生的爱国主义精神，激发学生的学习兴趣。

Step 1 Warming up
1、师生问候。
2、唱英语歌曲“Happy new year!”。
Step 2 Presentation and drill
1、情景引人，教学新单词。
T: Hello, boys and girls! I'm very hapopy today .A new friend is coming .Look !
放音乐“A Merry Christmas！”,让一学生装扮成圣诞老人，教师与之打招呼。
T：Hello, Santa Claus! Nice to meet you !
Santa : Hello ,Miss…Nice to meet you too !
终止音乐。
T: Boys and girls ,let me introduce a friedn to you .This is Santa Chaus
Let's grsst him .Hello ,Santa Claus!
教单词Santa Claus!，并解释其义。
T :We can also call him Father Christmas.
教单词Father Christmas，然后带着“圣诞老人”走下讲台，与同学们相互认识并打招呼。
戴上圣诞帽，装扮成圣诞老人，并让所有学生向“圣诞老人”问好。
T ：Now I'm Santa Claus .Hello ,boys and girls !Nice to meet you !
Ss : Hello ,Santa Claus,Nice to meet you too!
T : Today is the 25th of December .It's the Christmas Day .Look!（从讲台下拿出圣诞树）This is a Christmas tree!

指着圣诞树上装饰物品。

1、快速阅读课文A部分，回答问题。

2、听课文A部分录音，模仿其语音、语调，掌握新词难句的读音。
Step 4 Consolidation
1、精读课文，进一步掌握短文意思。然后自由讨论课文C部分问题。
2、分组完成课文C部分练习。
3、听课文A部分录音，跟读，帮助学生理解单词及短语Christmas day falls ,the West ,candy sticks, colourful lights ,Merry Christmas ,Christmas song, Father Christmas ,robot等的含义及用法。
4、请学生们各选一幅图，并分组描述。
Step 5 Consolidation
1、复述故事（关键词：Christmas day，Christmas tree ,Christmas card , Santa Claus ,presents, Merry Christmas ）,教师检测部分学生的复述情况，注意信息反馈。
2、评价。
3、练习。（见《练习册》P53-54）
