Step 1：Lead-in
T: （showing some pictures of a disco） Do you know where it is?
Ss：It is a bar/ disco.
T: What are they doing?
Ss: Some are dancing; some are smoking; some are drinking and others are taking drugs.
T: Are you nervous about going to a disco?
Ss: Yes.
T: What are you worried about?
Ss: We are worried about smoking, drinking and drugs.
Step 2： Listening
Ask the Ss to do the listening practice on P23.
T: Now, we are going to listen to a dialogue between two Tina and Sara. Sara is nervous about going to a disco. Listen and tick Sara’s concerns.
Play the tape for the first time and check the answers.
T: What Sara is nervous about is the same as you. Let’s listen again, pay more attention to what Tina says and complete her sentences.
