GREETING

The teacher greets the students by saying:

How are you today?

What are you wearing?

What’s he/she wearing?

I like _____. Is it new?

GAME

T: What day is today?

S: Today is ________.

T: (出示星期卡片)Look, read these cards.

Now let’s play a game “What’s Missing?”

First, divide the class into two teams: T1 and T2. Let the students read the cards. Then the teacher takes out one card.(老师偷偷拿出一张卡片,不让学生看见是哪一张)let the students read them again and find what’s missing. The students put up their hands to answer. Who is faster and correct, their team can get one point. At last, count the points and see which team is winner.

SONG

The students sing “He’s wearing red pants, on a Sunday morning.”

DRILL

T: What are you wearing today?(多找几人回答)

S: I’m wearing _____________.

Let the students work in pairs to make up a short dialogue. Such as:

S1: What are you wearing?

S2: I’m wearing ______________.

GAME

T: Let’s play a game “CLOTHES POINT”.

S: OK.

The teacher puts clothes cards on the blackboard: shirt, coat, pants and sweater. Have ready clothes cards for the other clothes (dress, blouse, shoes, hat…). Teach the students this chant:

Point to shirt, point to coat, point to pants and sweater, too. Now what clothes do you see? Point to it and then tell me.

The teacher divides the class into two teams. When the teacher shows the surprise clothes, the students put up their hands and say the clothes. Which student is right and faster, their team can get one point.

GAME

T: Look, this is a pretty girl. Her name is Cici. She wants some new clothes. Can you help her?

S: Yes.

T: Please design the fashion clothes for her. Four students work in a group.

(让学生四人一组为Cici设计服装,并说出他们的设计。)

For example:

I want a yellow dress and a pair of red shoes for her.

PRACTICE

T: (教师拿出事先准备好的一件旧的小上衣)

This is my old coat.

(穿上后说)Oh, it’s too small.

(穿上另一件大上衣)This is my mother’s coat. It’s too big.

(穿上第三件正合适的上衣)This is my new coat. It’s just right.

Did you remember your clothes that too big, too small or just right?

(让学生说说爸爸妈妈以前可能买的衣服都太大,前一年的衣服又太小等等。)

CHANT

T: Look, here’s a chant. (课件打出歌词)First, listen to me.

“Old coat, old coat, it’s too small.

Mother’s coat, mother’s coat, it’s too big.

New coat, new coat, it’s just right.”

Now let’s chant together, OK?

S: OK!
