Picture cards , recorder

教学过程:

一、Warming-up

1. Sing a song

2. Daily talk Revision Review different jobs using the picture cards . Hold up a picture card and ask : What’s he/she ? to elicit : He’s/She’s a/an „ .

二、Presentation

1. Tell your students what your parents do . Say : My father is a „。 My mother is a „。

2. Walk around the class , ask individual students : What does your father/mo- ther do ? Ask a few guided questions to help students understand this question, e.g. Is he/she a doctor ? etc .

3. Play the cassette : Look and say . Students listen and follow in their books .

4. Play the cassette again . Students listen and repeat .

三、Consolidation

1. Have students work in pairs to do the roleplay . Invite pairs of students to act in front of the class .

2. Ask the students to interview their class- mates and find out what their parents do . Allow ten students to walk around the class at a time .

Each have three minutes to interview as many classma- tes as they can and record their answers . Walk around the class and provide assistance whenever necess- ary , especially with the names of jobs .

3. Invite individual students to report back . e.g. (name)’s father/mother is a „。 (grandfather,) (sister/brother)
