学生在前一课的基础上已经初步地学习了如何谈论过去没有发生的事或行为。本课是对上一课知识的巩固和拓展，使学生对这一语言功能有一个完整的认识，真正达到“学以致用”。
设计理念：
英语课程的目标是培养学生的综合语言运用能力。在本课的设计中，以学生为主体，教师为主导，采用“任务型”教学方式，设计贴近学生实际的教学活动，吸引他们积极参与，开发他们的思维，培养他们的创新精神。真正达到“让学生用英语来做事情”的教学目标——即“用中学，学中用”。

录音机，小黑板，实物投影 ，调查表，单词图卡。
教学流程：
Step1 warming-up（热身活动）
A chain game :第一个学生说出昨天他没做的事情，第二个学生不但说出自己昨天没做的一件事，也得把第一个学生的话重复出来．以此类推．看看谁的记忆力好．不但复习了上课的内容，也为新课作了铺垫．
Step2 presentation （任务呈现）
设置一个悬念：老师向学生说一说大明的一些反常行为，比如在周日，大明通常去踢足球，但昨天他没踢．他通常去骑自行车，但他也没去．为什么呢？让我们进入到课文中，找一找答案吧！
Step3 New teaching（课文教学）
a. Listen and find the answer: Why Daming didn't play football. And why Daming didn't ride his bike?
b.请学生翻开书，再次播放录音，学生边听边看书，同时用笔勾出课文中含有＂didn't＂的句子．
c.老师再次播放录音，每句话后暂停，请学生跟读．
Step4 Practice（操练）
a.Get the students to write a list of things that they normally do on Sundays. Then put the students in pairs and have them tell one another what they usually do.
Examples:
A: I usually visit my aunt.
B: I usually stay home.
A: My aunt usually cooks a big dinner.
