一、Teaching aims:

Learn the following words and drills:

New words:

tired, scared, excited, upset, stayed up late, heard a noise, got a kitten, got a poor grade

Dills: I’m tired. Why? Because I stayed up late last night. Why did you stay up late? Because I watched TV.

运用正确的语音、语调、所学的单词和句型talking about emotional states and giving reasons。

四、 Teaching procedure:

【Review】

Write a list of feelings on the board. For example, happy, sad, hot and bored. Draw faces to show these feelings.

T: (Point to a face on the board.) Is he sad? S: Yes, he is. / No, he isn't. He's happy.

【Presentation】

1、Show the title and learn the new words: into go into

2、Show the Pictures Cards to learn the new words & drills.

1) Show the Picture Cards & teach the new words one by one.

2) Holding up the Picture Cards, listen and repeat.

3) Look at the Picture Cards and have Ss repeat.

4) Read the new words by themselves,then play a game: (盖棉被,看谁抢的单词多)

5) (Books open) Listen to the tape and have Ss repeat the sentences of Target. And write them on the blackboard.

A: I’m tired. B: Why? A: Because I stayed up late last night. B: What did you stayed up late? A: Because I watched TV.

6) Point to scared and promise Ss to say the sentences:

S1: I'm scared. S2: Why? S1: Because I heard a noise.

7) Show the rest of the pictures and say more sentences.

8) Using the pictures ask and answer by themselves.

9) Pair work: Ask and answer quickly two by two. S1: I'm____. S2: Why? S1: Because I____.

3、Play games:

让学生把WBp50上各种感觉的单词卡片剪下来。,教师先做示范, 从卡片抽出一张,比如:upset,展示给全班同学看,然后说:I was upset. 全班同学问:Why?教师回答说:Because my mother was sick.再让学生结对子,轮流抽卡片说句子,并按真实情况回答.
