一、教学目标：
1．知识目标：
( 1 ) 能够听、说、认读单词：first ，second ，third ，fourth，fifth，sixth，seventh，eighth，ninth，tenth，eleventh，twelfth 及其缩写形式。
( 2 ) 学习日期的表达方式。
( 3 ) 学习句型：When is your birthday ? My birthday is August 2nd .
2． 能力目标：
能运用所学句型询问他人的生日, 并能做简要回答。
二、教学重、难点：
1． 重点： 听、说、认读序数词1-12。
句型:When is your birthday? My birthday is….
2． 难点：日期表达法。
三、教学准备：
多媒体课件、单词卡片等。
四、教学过程：
Step 1 Warming up
1．Sing the songs ：“The Months” and “Number Song”.
2．Game ：Guess the words.
3．Spell the words ： first ---twelfth
4．请学生归纳由基数词变序数词的规律。
Step 2 New Lesson
1． (1) Look and say the holidays.
(课件 ：快速闪过一些已学过的节日图片, 请学生认真看并用英语说出所看到的节日。)
(2) T: When is New Year’s Day?
Ss: It’s in January .
T: Yes. January first . 强调January first 1月1日
学生跟读 January first
让学生从中学习日期的表达法。
同样方式询问并引导学生说出各个节日的时间。
2．Games：
(1) 听音摆卡片:全班学生根据老师提供的日期卡片读出日期, 一个学生上台根据所听到的摆出日期卡片.
(2) I can read. 学生读出教师所给出的日期，并得到一份意外的礼物。
3．教师出示生日蛋糕， T: Whose birthday is in February ?
T: When is your birthday? 并板书。
( 询问二月过生日的学生具体生日日期。)
4． (1)观看课文VCD, 回答问题。
(2)跟读课文。
(3)分角色朗读课文。
5． Do a survey.
