一、教材分析:

本课是故事教学,在学生已学动词的一般过去时态的基础上强调本课出现的动词过去式单词的理解和运用。整个故事采用阅读教学的步骤。

二、学情分析:

五年级的学生对于英语已经有了一定的自主学习能力,同时,学生已经学习了动词的一般过去时并已经掌握了较多的动词过去式单词和动词短语,为本课时的学习打下了基础。本课时,学生将在已学动词过去式和短语的基础上,掌握一般动词过去时的构成以及部分不规则动词的过去式,同时,谈论过去时间内所干的事情。

三、教学目标:

1 认知目标:能够听、说、读短语give to, next morning, climb up, fly to, take from, come back, fall down等;掌握部分不规则动词的过去式sell, gave, threw, saw, flew, took, came, cut, fell ;同时,能听懂问句并做出正确回答;

2 能力目标:能根据故事的基本信息回答问题;能初步运用知识的能力如复述课文或完成练习等;

3 情感目标:通过本课语言知识的学习,教育学生要扬善惩恶,经常关心和尽力帮助他人.

四、教学重难点:

1 教学重点:

1)掌握并运用短语give to, next morning, climb up, fly to, take from, come back, fall down;

2)掌握部分不规则动词的过去式sell, gave, threw, saw, flew, took, came, cut, fell;

3)能根据故事的基本信息回答问题能听懂故事并简单复述课文;

2 教学难点:

理解故事情节并复述课文。

1.教法设计

利用情景教学法和视听法,以学生为中心,以交际为主线,通过一系列的教学活动培养学生获取和理解文章基本信息的能力以及初步运用知识的能力。

2.学法指导

在本课的学习活动中,我用多媒体课件辅助教学,以合作探究的学习的方式来帮助学生自己去探索、发现和解决问题,让学生在互动和交流中建立自信,感受学习的快乐.

3.教学手段

用多媒体和图片辅助教学 ,引导学生积极主动地投入到学习活动中去.

七、教学过程

Ⅰ. Greetings :

Hello !  How are you ?  Nice to meet you!

Ⅱ. Warming up

用“吊死鬼”游戏引入”bean”这个单词,并告诉学生:Today we’ll learn a story about a beanstalk. What will a bean be when it grows up? 用简笔画呈现bean成长beanstalk。并把全班分成两个小组,表现好的小组bean就会长大成beanstalk.

Follow the teacher to read and master “beanstalk”

Ⅲ. Presentation :

ⅰ. Listen to the story with two questions:

1) How many people are there in this story?

2) What are they?

a  Let ss. read out these two questions.

b  Let ss. listen to the story.

c  Answer the questions, then read out the answers.

ⅱ.  Teacher asks the ss. to read out the story by themselves and underline the words they don’t know.

Teacher explain the new words , make ss. make up the sentences with these words.

Follow the tape to read out the story with these questions:

1)   Is Jack’s family poor?

2)   What did the man give to Jack?

3)   Where did Jack’s mother throw the beans?

4)   What happened next morning?

5)   What did the fair say to Jack?

6)   What did Jack see in the castle? What did he do?

7)   Was the monster after him?

8)   What did Jack do then?

9)   Did the monster fall down?

Let ss. answer these questions and the teacher asks them :Where did they find the answers?How do you find the answers?

Follow the tape to read out the story again.

ⅲ.  Fill in the blanks with key words:
