教学过程:

一、Warming-up

1、播放Happy New Year 的音乐,让学生猜是什么歌曲。猜中后师生一起唱这首歌。

2、复习一周七天的英语单词。

二、Presentation

1、教师拿着一个月的日历,问学生:Do you know how many months are there in a year? 借助日历让学生理解month的含义。板书并让学生认读,然后接着说:Yes, there are 12 months in a year.Do you want to know their names? Let's learn the names of the months!

2、Learn the new words and sentence : January; January is the first month of the year.

3、Learn the text about “January”。

4、Use the same way to learn the new words and sentences:

February; March; April

February is the second month of the year.

March is the third month of the year.

April is the fourth month of the year.

三、Practice

1、让学生两人一组进行问答练习,问题如下

Which is the first month of the year?

What holiday is in January?

What are people doing in January?

Which is the second month of the year?

What holiday is in February?

What are people doing in February?

Which is the third month of the year?

What holiday is in March?

What are people doing in March?

Which is the fourth month of the year?

What holiday is in April?

2、日历游戏

学生4人一组,玩猜月份游戏。每组发放1~4月日历卡片,卡片正面写着月份的英文,把卡片反扣在课桌上,让学生依次猜是哪个月份,每个学生一次只能猜一张。先说一个月份的英语单词,再翻开一张卡片,猜对的可以赢得卡片,看谁赢得多。

四、Central task

教师建议学生分成小组,各自拿出自己喜欢的月份图片,与组内其他学生的图片放在一起。然后,由一名学生选出其中的一张图片,心中记下,然后组内其他同学开始提问,通过提问获得的信息,找出这名同学选中的正确图片。

五、Summary

总结本课所学月份的单词,句子。和相关节日,要求学生掌握。

六、Homework

1、背诵和默写本课所学单词,短语和句子。

2、熟读课文并背诵。
